Have you seen his assemblies? They are top notch. Custom made pcb for the leds and stuff to mount to. Its not just a waffle board from radio shack.

Mine are painted from the inside. TYC also, Got them done about 5 years ago. Still look great no paint fade. Don't mind these pics they are about 2-3 years old. A lot of the surroundings has changed since then. (the car as well but more or less driveway and houses)

^ Those look really good. I think I have decided to paint the outside. Its just going to be easier. In the end they can always be sanded and polished to remove the paint if I ever need to do that. Im still polishing them now to remove the yellowing/hazing on them. Mother's Powerball & Plastic Polish FTMFW!!! This stuff works great! I will post up a side by side when I get one finished.

the painted David Ls look 2x better than the oem 95 96 lights. but the difference in whites and reds from the inner vs outer bothers me. and the ones that you can buy on ebay or CE are a lil "flashy"...

Updated for the teaser pics.

I finished removing all the haze and a lot of the yellowing. Got them taped off and ready for paint. I would have done the painting yesterday, but my paint nozzle was clogged on the can, so I have to go buy some new paint today.

i hope it turns out well painting the outside. do you plan to clearcoat the entire lens when you're done? give the entire thing a more uniform look?
