Engine dies, now codes for MAF/Knock sensor
Not long after I filled up with gas today, I went WOT from a stop in my car and the engine cut out at 4k for a moment, and then went to the redline before shifting. Then the engine appeared to be out of gas and it died. I started it up, pulled back onto the road, went WOT again and it did the same thing. It kept sputtering whenever I would put a decent load on the engine until I stopped and turned the car off. I let it sit for a while, started it back up, and it ran great but i got a CEL for my MAF and Knock sensors. It sounds to me like the car was almost out of gas but I was a good mile from the gas station when this started and I only put in 16 gallons - I wasn't running on fumes.
I have since cleared the codes again and ran the car for a while. It doesn't sputter but I have a CEL for my MAF. I guess that is my problem. I don't have a CEL for my knock sensor anymore so I guess that was just a product of the car dying. Where is the best place to get a MAF?
