Help, my trunk won't open!

All of a sudden I can't get my trunk to open. I use both the remote open and the manual (button on door) but it just makes that clicking/latch sound but doesn't open. I looked back through the rear seats and when I try to open it with the remote, the latch moves, then moves right back about a second later. I can't see anything blocking it though. Anybody have an idea on what this is? Thanks.

Did you try opening it with the key? Sounds like the valet latch is locked.

heres what you do:

get a flashlight and a crowbar (or something long that you can flip a latch with).

look through your back seat using the flashlight to shine on the latch area. then you will see a little switch thing. it looks like this: _ (youll see it and be like "oh."). my bet is that you accidently flipped it down. so reach back there and flip it up. then try to pop it.

i had the same problem, cause i sat on it when working on my system, then i had insulation in my trunk lid to reduce rattles so the key wouldnt work. it was a pain, but thats cause my system was in the way. sounds like u dont have a system so you should be all set.
