I lost my only Car key.. PLZ help

Yea So I lost my only key. I know that I should of have another spare but I dont so thats water under the bridge..
My question is Can I just go to the dealership and get a New key and when I get back home the key will be programmed and working? Or Do I have to bring the car to the dealership to have the key programmed to the car..

Basically does the car have to be onsite to have a key programmed?

what chip is this?

and, you could try to tell the dealer you just had work done and only gave them one key. because that actually happened to me once, and then only one key worked so they reprogramed the spare key for free. lol...but actually nevermind cause i forgot you dont have a key....where in MA are you? actually in boston? cause the dealer in beverly is where i go and they charge $80 for a key

It is actually really easy to get it out. All you need is a slant of wood(about 6" long and a 15 degree angle) a piece of cloth (about 12"x12") a mallet and a clothes hanger. Put the piece of cloth over the top seal in your door and put the end with the 15 degree angle into the crack and slowly push it down then tap it in until you can get the clothes hanger in the crack. Make sure you get the wood on the inside of the seal so you won't tear it. Form the hanger so you can hook the drivers side door lock and just slide it to where you can pull out the lock and your door is opened. My dad helped me do this and it took him about 10 minutes. He has done this before so just be patient and you will eventually get it. You just HAVE to be patient or you will get frustrated and end up messing something up. Good Luck!

I think ur forgetting the fact that he lost his keys, as in... even if he can get into the car he won't have a way to start it...

im sure anyone that wants to rob or steal your car, already knows how to open it. This is why keyless entry is FTW. With my car I cant lock it unless I have the key as I use the keyless entry to lock it.

im guessing it should be cheaper if you buy a spare key and get them to program it for you?
