Stillen Kit goes on this weekend !

Hey guys, I should be installed the Stillen Kit this weekend that I had painted, Ive jsut been waiting to get my Motor in and done with the paint and everything.

Double Sided tape works right ?? With self tapping screws on the sides of each side skirts, underneath the rear valances and on the ends of the front lip ?? How much tape do I use ??

Thanks Guys.

i line the whole sides with tape form end to end. and tappedthe 2 scres in on the fender lip.

the front i put tape on the side untill the fog light, and on the lower opening of the bumper where the kits rest. I used 2 screws on the fender lips.

the rears i could never get to stay corretly. the are always hanging alittle bit and the back of the are where they end i can never get them to line up correctly and stay in place. i am going to take my rears to a shop and have they pop rivieted on.

you just need two screws and thats for the front lip and u use it on the fenders. use two full rows on each side skirt from front to back. for the front lip, get as much as possible on there and the same story applies to the rear valances. basically, the more 3m the better ! if you ever have to remove the pieces, its gonna be very hard and ull need 3m adhesive remover. but hey, better than walkin to the car only to find out that someone ripped your $1000 kit right off and took it home !

for the front lip do the nut and bolt on the inner fender and either bolt and nut for the front or rivet the front for a cleaner look. double stick tape wont work for the lip. i tried. for the sideskirts, line the entire top side with 3M and screws on each end. secure the rear with either sticky tape or bolts on the underside and each end.

I dont recommend the tape for the front. Chances are there will be a day when you need a tow, or something to be done that needs some extra clearance, and you wont be able to remove the lip in a jiffy. I have 5 screws on the lip, 3 in the middle under the license plate and 1 on each end, no tape. I had tape on it at first, but winter+ground=broke. It was a huge pain to get the lip off. Im not saying dont do it, but just keep this in mind. Also make sure you get 3M exterior mounting tape. Anything else will just fall off.

Do they make a Stillen kit for a 95 Maxima? I did a little searching but only came up with 97 and up. Thanks

The 97 kit would work? What is the difference with the lip? Anything some time to modify can't overcome? Thanks

The stillen kit is identical for 95-96 and 97-99 except for the front lip. Either get the 96 lip or do a 97 front conversion for your car.

The rear pieces are different too. THe 95/96 ones are shorter than the 97-99 because of the rear bumper being a little longer on the 97-99.
