Green with Tan Leather

I see a Maxima for sale. It says green with tan leather and no other information. Can I assume that is certainly a GLE with an automatic transmission? Or could it possibly be 5 speed? I might call the guy tomorrow...

Thanks,
Aaron

could be of any trim. 90% its a GLE or SE, 10% its a GXE

either way calling the guy would be the way to go

Regardless of the tranny, get it if it's a SageMist.

I got a 96 dark green 5 spd with tan leather. I wanted to paint it black eventually and put a black interior in but the green is starting to grow on me. All my friends like the green and tell me to keep it green. At night it looks black but in the daytime it looks dark green. I still want to do something with the interior though. The tan is nice but I don't like the brown dash. 2 of the times i've been pulled over and gotten a ticket the cops wrote down black instead of green and I was able to get them both dropped cause the cop wrote down false information.

I am not sure if the colors are the same in the US and Canada. I have a 95SE, 5-speed, with a tan interior. The exterior is called Black Emerald and the paint code is DJ2. On a dull day the car looks black and on a sunny day the car looks dark green with a metal flake in the paint. I quite like the color to this day and am not bothered about having a tan interior. The seats are leather and don't get as hot as black would in the summer and the front seats are both heated which is nice in colder weather.

My 5-speed tranny is limited-slip differential (LSD) as it is a Canadian model which is not prone to the dreaded differential bearing failure.

I have a 97 sagemist green 5 speed SE with tan leather. At least I think it's sagemist - it's not as dark as the forest green, but similar.

It sounded like he picked up the first time by accidentally hitting the button and didn't know it. I tried calling twice after that and it just kept ringing...

Sounds like there is hope for a 5 speed in this car???

I have an automatic 97 green SE with tan leather interior. Electric seats, sunroof, simulated wood, white gauges. I think it has all the options except the homelink. Everybody that gets in likes it and they are amazed when I tell them its almost 10 years old.

Need a little more info than what is in this thread. For that year however, You could make more money parting it out in the for-sale forums than you paid for it. I'm sure that wasn't your intentions though, was it.

I'm thinking about it. The thing is that the car has no title. He "bought" it as a parts car and decided to sell it.

wtf its only 600 bucks..i would jump on it, my mom's friend had an issue with the title. i dont think getting a new title for the car would be difficult, probably just time consuming..600$ is not bad for a parts car anyways..

I don't have $600. But if it's in good shape I could sell it for maybe $3000 after i do some maintainence. He said the rear shocks are in bad shape. Oh boy do I wish it was manual. I guess I got to keep looking...

It's a keeper. Take care of it and it will last years to come. That car should be worth more to you than any potential buyer would be willing to pay for it.

but i just have a few mods in mind (tints,cefiros,hids,red/clear tails, ypipe, g35exhaust) maybe 18" G35rims down the road

Its not bad for 600 bucks for parts if ur going to strip it, cuzz when he dont have a title, its goin to be hard for u to get one, i work wit a local car dealer and the one's we get like that we send them to the junk yard cuzz THeres almost no way to make one, in NC i dont know about ur DMV up in CT. so... check on that before u get it..

why dont you just go see the car and if it looks like its worth more than 600, get it. i dont understand why your asking us if you should get a car when all we know is the year, tranny and color. there are alot more deciding factors than those when getting a car.

Sounds like a GXE to me.

I'm not getting the car. I would be on it like white on rice if it was manual shift.

That's what my mom said. Anyway, I'm over the car beacause it's automatic. I want to buy them from you, but I need a lot more parts than that to complete the transformation. A parts car would be easy and cheap for me. I just have to take my time to find a sucka.

Are you referring to my post? If so, it would be w/o any engine, tranny, front or rear bumpr, hood and much of the interior as a lot of pieces have been sold already. A lot of rust on the rocker panels too.
