Coil pack out, waiting for new

Is it really bad to driving around without a cylinder firing? I mean it feels awful. I know for sure it's the coil pack (switched it from cyl 4 to cyl 2 and now the misfire code is 0603 instead of 0605). Smell of gas in the exhaust is pretty strong. Can I just unplug the injector?

I wouldn't drive it. This just happened to my car last week. I parked it and found rides. Yeah it sucks, but what can you do?

No. Your going to ruin your cat with all that unburned gas going through your exhaust. Just wait for it

I didn't even consider that Autozone might carry it (was gonna order it from EverythingNissan). I picked up a coil pack today and it's running smooth again. Thank god. It ain't Mitsubishi, but oh well. Does that really make a difference? I just changed to NGK platinums.

OEM coils; Should I?

Since they seem to be crap in the first place, should I just stay away from OEM and go for something else?...or did they fix their bug over the years? Still got 82k of of them
Is that good?

You have a point I should not post mutiple threads..
Just trying to get info wherever I can!!
There's more discussion and info about plugs at $1.99 then real problems
that cost $$$$ like coils.
I don't even have a code on the dam ECU yet and I am about to spend the value of 10 tanks of gas on 6 wired plastic sticks.
Got a do the right thing with the right stuff at the right price!
Thanks for your help Willard00

Finally a code! Just came in 06 06 (misfire cylinder 3).
Anyone has a link to a cylinder number map?
As I recall Right bank(rear) is 1,3,5 and Left bank(front) is 2,4,6
with 1 and 2 being on the passenger side!
Did I get this right!
If so I just swapped coils 1 and 3 to see if I will get a code on 1!

yep thats right, just looked at the diagram earlier today. you can get a spark tester for like $8 at sears. it looks like a spark plug and u just take out ure coil, pop the spark tester in and clip it to ground then turn on the car, if its sparking, coils good. (keep in mind coil still has to be plugged in, just out of the engine)
