added longer breather
intake filter is angled
brake cap is different colors
Purple by the top of the strut tower, now its different ( )
something blocking the front of the battery in the other pic
a little more power steering fluid this fall.
Coolant resevoir about the same.

ok, enlighten me. that filter that you have coming off of the right of the valve cover, what's that for? some cars have that being sent back into the intake, while others have a filter like you do. is it exhaust gasses that are coming out?

Having the breather like that makes the car idle pretty lean, not that it matters. Basically the other end of the PCV system thats still connected to the IM sucks unmetered air throught that breather.
Nice MAP sensor relocation.
Oh and the coil cover is missing!
you painted the oil dip stick
you zip tied the grille on
Hey loose the green tape on the wires. That was my 1st mod!
I thought you installed the other IM with out the 98 90* vac line just after the TB?

Prize goes to JSutter.
It was a timing thing with the other intake mani. I had just finished it the day before I hit the track. Rather than do the install I took weight off the car and did a few other prep items.
-Stillen strut bar is refinished, notice the ends (but will be poilished soon)
-boost sensor mount
-black caps (coolant,brake)
-battery cover delete
-polished valve cover
-polished timing chain cover
-D2's swapped for spring/strut setup (lack of camber plates in 2nd pic)
-sparkplug cover is off (probably for good)
-black radiator brackets
-washer fluid reservoir and all lines removed
-horn relocated (easier access to tensioner, cleaner look)
-hood latch assembly is painted black
-VC breather relocated to fit larger Mr.Gasket breather
-shorter coolant overflow hose
As usual Sutter you are the voice of reason and now those little harmless tags on all the lines will bug the hell out of me. I have a breather because of my mid-pipe BTW.

It DOES snarl like hell. A friend has the exact same setup minus the mid-pipe and breather and it doesn't have the cammy VQ35 sound mine does up top.
Down low it makes for a little bit of a motor boat sound, hard to describe.

For you KEEN observers my D2 decal is still in the bay. I loved those things.

D2 and KSport are manufactured by the same parent company so I hadn't really considered them. If I am able to have seperate setups I would possible think about going back to D2 but I would like to have the higher linear spring rate year round.

The colors are so far off between pix its hard to tell the painted parts. I was eyeing the pieces on the rad support, but they still look like that corroded grey/greenish/brown.
Having no weasle pissers sucks in the winter.

1st time i did the overflow I kept a small window unpainted, but its just as wasy to look inside so I painted over it. You could always add a clear tube gauge thingy on the outside like the them sik "JDM" ones lol.

I may do something with it in the future. If it pops up in a thread ("show off your engine bay summer '07") you can tear me to shreads for copying you.
JSutter JDM hyper-black coolant tanks $59.99.
You really should have sold some of those amber corners you made. Could have rode the JDM wave all the way to the bank.

I cant afford $60, can you lower you price? My mom said she would give me only $45, can we work out a trade.
I still have the corners, but its not that hard to do. Some kid on sr20 forum is selling the paint. Hes getting like 2-3 times retail price for a can of it. What a rip, that is unless you cant find it locally I guess.

No, the breather on the crankcase has nothing to do with sound.
My flipped box and mid-pipe do make a very cammy G/Z sound through the midrange but in the top end (past 5k) it snarls.

I mean short-ram, sorry since i sold the old maxipad i havent beenon the boards much.
and yes when it runs back into the intake it deadens the sound a bit....i bet if you took off the breather and fabricated a place in your midpipe for a hose you'd hear a big difference towards redline....
