95/96 and 97/98 stillen differences

Is the lip in the first picture the only one available for a 95', or can we get the one in the second? Or is there a way to mod a 95' to fit that other lip

The only way to get the 97-99 lip to fit a 95-96 bumper is to cut up the lip to fit it.
There was an org member here that trimmed a CF 97-99 lip to fit his 95-6 bumper.

Yes, buy a 97 bumper for your 96 to fit the 97 lip. It's too much work to do it any other way...

Anybody notice the wheel gap in the 2nd and 3rd pictures? Looks like its still on stock SE springs.

No worries.
Sorry, didn't mean to hijack this thread but I'm seriously thinking of going back to stock SE springs. On my roads here I'm hitting the bump stops on the CMS alot more frequently and the Eibachs are too stiff for my back.
If those pics are any indication the body kit will still look decent.

No change. 97-99 bumpers are interchangeable with 95/96's.

Like others said, the typical way to get the better lip (the second pic) is to get the 97-99 front bumper as well.

I have never had the nose off this car, but I have on some european cars (don't hate me, its my job!!). Anyways, is the bumper part of the cover or will it stay attached to the snout (they came off with the cover on the ones I have done)? Also, will that have to be replaced with the cover or is it the same from year to year? Thanks, sorry for being a pain.

where did you guys get your 97-99 bumpers if you did the swap? Ebay has them for about 100, im just not sure about the quality/fitment. Finding a QN0 97-99 bumper is hard. Thanks

There is aftermarket companies which sell to body shops. Around here we have a place called VENG, there's another one I don't remeber. Try your local body shop, they can probably help you out. Then at least you will have the guys word on the quality, afterall he does deal with them all the time.

a dremel + 97 lip + a half decent eye will get the lip on. One guy in my area has it, looks extra unique in my opinion. If I came accross a 967 lip for a decent price I'd get it and mod it.

I'd rather spring the extra bucks for a 97-99 bumper for the direct fit, plus I think that the 97-99 bumper and the 97-99 stillen lip gives a much more aggresive look. Then again I've never seen a modded 95/96 bumper with a 97-99 lip anybody have some pics?

Is the 97-99 grille needed for the bumper to fit? Or am I ok with keeping the 95-96 grille.

If you use the 95-96 grill, it will need to be altered. The outer posts that meet the bumper are too short. There will be a gap in between the bumper and the grill.
I prefer the look of the 95-96 grill so i had a shop alter my grill to fit my 97-99bumper.

I can post pics of the two different grills later once I get home.

Yup, the lip was trimmed to fit the bumper.

I also prefer the look of our grille also. I remember reading on here a few years ago when i used to just lurk around that the grille will either be too short or too long, i just couldn't remember which it would be. And also, that sarona grille that resembles the 95-96 grille. That one is designed for 97-99 maximas i know, but i dont want to spend over $150 in just a grille.

So bottom line is, it will fit with no major alterations. It will just have the gaps.

Yep, but I'm not even going to change my bumper just get a shop to trim it to fit because I really do like our bumpers and grills just wanna add a lip for flare, and like the 97-99 lip a lot better than the one they make for 95/6
