wow. i messed up :(

starter took a dump on me.. so i replaced it.. got all done. hooked up all hoses ect.. intake..

took her for a spin. noticed the gas pedal was only going halfway.. so my retarted self.. forced it down.. and well it got stuck. >< kept accelerating, brakes did nothing. had to ebrake it. hold brakes hard to slow down enough to pull over and kill the switch..

opened up the hood. and noticed that when i put the intake back on at the throttle body. the screw was too far to the left. thus not allowing the throttle cable to "let out"..

sucks. big cloud of smoke. nasty rubber smell.. i cried

but all is well now. got it fixed.. while i was at it, i noticed my motor mount was old and wore out. (that must be why i get vibrations every now and then, when at half throttle) what are some good replacement mounts? and how much am i looking at to get them replaced..

thanks

my car vibrates very much sometimes when I go into highspeed, does it have to do with the motor mounts too?

if it's at higher speeds, it's prolly the alignment of the wheels. get them realigned and most of the vibrations at higher speeds will dissappear.

Glad to hear nothign was damaged, and no wreck! I've read a few stories like this, so whenever i mess with the intake or anywhere close to there, i always make sure my throttle cable is free to move without any obstructions.
