Where to Mount HID Ballasts/Ignitors

I've been meaning to install my HID kit for a while now and I'm finally about to start. I looked inside and I really haven't found a place to mount the ballasts and ignitors. Is there a certain place that the ballast can be screwed into? Should I just opt to use double-sided sticky foam to mount the ballasts and ignitors to the car? If so, where would be the best place to mount them in that situation? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i got heavy duity velcro from lowes ($2) and velcroed them under the housing to the metal part of the frame in case i decide to remove them or use the hids in a a diff vehicle. it fits perfect.. as for the ignitor i just let it chill behind the housing..

I have both the ballast and ignitors resting behind the headlight on my setup. Its a bit tight on the passenger side due to the charge pipe but it fits and keeps them snug.

I 3M doublesided taped mine to the fuse boxe's side on the passanger and the driver side... then, I simply zip-tied the slack wiring and the igniter together..

heres kind of an off topic question,
1 if you install hid's do you have to retro fit them (also how difficult)
2 what do you do about the high beams, do you need another bulb

i put mine in tupperware containers and hung the passanger side one in the bumper cavity below the headlight, ziptied it to whatever was down there to keep it from swingin around, and driver side the wire was long enough to put behind my battery...

...MAKE SURE IF YOU PUT IT IN A CONTAINER, THAT WATER CANT FILL UP IN IT... MADE THAT MISTAKE AND I SHORTED A BALLAST

I thought using tupperware was a good idea, but my friend said that was dumb and I should use the actual ballast covers. The thing is I have D4 ballast and the covers were a part of the GS headlight assembly. I'm just gonna use tupperware and be done with it.
