Adjust IAC valve after Throttle bottle cleanup?
I just cleaned my throttle body, and Greased up my starter.
My RPM's at the engines start is about 1300, and lowers to 1000.
Should i adjust it?
Im thinking it will take some time to get used to the cleaned TB and Starter.

K thanks. Il play around with it.
Back to cleaning the throttle body Subject, Did everyone else have a difficult time getting REALLY deep inside? I cleaned the area around the butterfly plate pretty good but couldnt get deeper to clean the sludge/dirt.
I also took off off the IAC valve just now and cleaned the area inside the throttle body connected to the IAC valve, ALOT of black stuff.
Has anyone thoroughly cleaned out the entire TB? there's ALOT of black Gunk in there...

well i took out my WHOLE intake manifold except the lower part *thats ontop of the knock sensor and that allows alot of work like takin out the injectors.
U well not belive what i saw in there . it tooke me a whole day to clean it Iacv, Egr, TB, and the whole inside of it.. IT made a HUGE difference.. i think ppl should do that if u never done it to ur car and if u ahve abouta 100K, i mean my had a 190K and i know no one ever cleand it like that.....
i noticed a smoother idle, a lil higher but normal, also ran better pulled alot better too....

ok first i pulled out my intake. then i disconnected the two coolant hoses on the bottom of the body (these are hose clamped). then i disconnected my throttle cables by lifting them up and popping them out sideways. then i took out the four bolts holding the throttle body into my intake manifold. cleaned it all, and put it back together.

I just cleaned out my TB this weekend as well and when I looked down the intake manifold, behind the buttefly plate, there was so much tar and crap on the walls I felt my heart sink as I settled down to scrubbing what I could. So, how hard would it be to remove the upper intake and clean it out? I bought a can of Seafoam and was going to give that a go, but I'd rather get out as much as I can by hand first...
