noticing that the days are gettting shorter and being such a nice day ,

I decided that after have the 0304 code for the last 2 years ,it would be a fine
day to see if the stickies tell the truth.

so I went off to my nearest auto supply joint and purhcased the following.
1. Knock sensor listed at 169.00 got it for 120.00
note I know i could get i cheaper via ebay or other sources but I wanted it now!
2. 2 hood struts as I noticed my head would be crapped on by the hood
if i didnt get these, 25.00 ea.
3.a tube of hitemp lith grease I plan a starter regrease anyday now,

assorted sockets and u joints for the KS

+ bonus for .75 cents got a roll of shop towels and hand cleaner

right when i got home I spent almost 10 mins on the struts.
wow after lifting the hood 6 inches it pops straight up!

then to the KS . was very easy to remove the old one ..read the stickies you remember..

tried to replace it right away but the car still hot from the trip to the store,
ff 1 hour made the first attempt to get my hand in there to start the bolt.
#%$!@!^@ thats tight,. 2nd attempt using some of that grease I bought
for the starter , wow it really works! I Can get my hand in there and did 10 mins later all done
now 12 hours later my hand is feeling like crap all tore up sore and bleeding but I saved a bunch of money !
and the starter Ill do that another day.

 

laughing out loud ... glad u got the KS done ... that's shiznit is a biatch ... I'm planning on doing my starter as well ... one question where did u buy the hi temp lithium grease?
