Is this normal MPG?
I do a lot of mix city and highway driving; I'd say that it's an even 50-50. From some reason though, I only get about 21.8 combined MPG; about 350 miles per 16 gallons of gas... It's pretty bad considering everyone else seems to be getting about 23-24 MPG average.
I recently swapped my fuel filter and SeaFoamed the engine as well as dump half the can in the gas tank... I have no bad O2 sensors and all seems to be in order.
Any ideas?

niceeee number
I just replaced my knock sensor after months of me knowing it was bad, i was getting only 230-270 on a tank. Im only 1/4 finished with my tank since changing the knock sensor and im at 80miles. I'm hoping to hit over 300 normally now...
btw. o2 sensors are new about 2 months old.

EPA estimated mileage:
1995-1999 Nissan Maxima
5 speed manual: 22 City, 27 Highway
4 speed Auto: 21 City, 28 Highway
Consumer Guide Observed Mileage:
5 speed manual: 24.1
4 speed Auto: 21.4

If you feel you are substantially below these numbers, check your tire pressure, change your spark plugs, dust off the air filter, and change the fuel filter. If you are still not satisfied with your gas mileage, buy a Prius.

uhhhh, Your caluclated mpg is NEVER going to be the same. Numbers that close mean nothing. Thoes differences could be the result of your driving style which is also never going to be the same every day. Also the ammount of gas in your tank each time you fill up is never going to be the same, you may put more or less in every time you go to the station.
What Im getting at is that calculating out your mpg is stupid and people who worry about their mpg are stupid. Everytime you fill up, reset your trip counter and see what it says after every tank. If you are getting roughly the same numbers everytime, and roughly means + or - 20-30, dont worry about it. Only get concerned when you see a big difference, like me when I went from 320 to 250.
