HELP NEEDED NOW - Tie Rod End

I'm in the process of trying to replace the steering gear boot. However, i absolutly cannot get the tie rod end off... I have been trying to break the lock nut loose. When I am under the car lying on my back, I am trying to push the wench up, which would be turning the nut counter clockwise... Any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong, or are the always a pain to get off. Thanks for the quick response!

Soil it good. Then if you havent messed up the head yet, try using a longer bar such as a breaker bar for more leverage. If you have already messed up the threads, use a vise grip. You also have to use an open socket wrench underneath the Tie bar to counter any opposing force. You can also use fire to heat up the bolt.
