Can this be caused by a bad knock sensor?

Alright - so after reading the knock sensor write up over and over again - I am sorta stumped.

I have measured the resistance of my knock sensor, and its 560K ohms - which is within spec, however that's about the only thing I can check. I did a code reout on the ECU, and the only thing I get is code 14-06 which makes no sense so I think it's some ghost code.

This is what I experience - sorta sluggish acceleration below 3K RPM, and vibrations - very faint but still noticeable, as if the engine is firing slower if that makes sense, however its not misfiring and it's not throwing codes. My MPG has been dropping consistently over the past month. Acceleration after 3K RPM is a bit better but not by much; it gets up to speed fine but it just feels sluggish, slower than my mom's 01 V6 Accord Auto (3.0 Liter 200 HP).

Can that be caused by a knock sensor that is working intermittently even though on three different occasions (overnight parking, 2 hours after driving and immideatelly after driving) the resistance measured the same?

Try to tighten it with a wrench. After I replaced my bad knock sensor with a new one from ebay, the ghost code didn't go away so I inserted a regular wrench in there and tighten it a little bit, reset the ecu and the code never came back.

Did you get the same ghost code?

I meant if he got the same ghost code as I did when he read his own before it went away.

Well I tightened the bolt as much as I could with a 12 mm wrench, but somehow I don't see any difference...

I'm wondering if maybe the wire is the issue...

A wire issue? As in the wiring harness? It did measure out to perfect resistance specification...

So if everything measured ok and it's just a ghost code you're knock is not the problem. Have you checked all the filters, plugs, that sort of stuff?

Well the sensor was my first suspect... but I suppose at this point I should consider it as working.

I suppose it could be the coils/plugs - the car shudders slightly in 2nd gear between 2.5 to 3K RPM, less shuddering at the same RPM range on other gears, and almost non existant at 5th gear.

Try measuring the coils. Could be them. Again, have you chaned all your filters recently?

What are the normal coil readings?

Welps - I can't check the coils lol - can't find the right screwdriver at work. The filter is all good, it's not very dirty... blah - this is perplexing

I checked the stickies .... there is no such thing as code 14-06. Are you sure you got the correct reading ?

Regarding the mileage , may be one of your calipers is seized ?
