I'm looking at some rims for my 96 SE, and I have a line on some 16x8s. I'm currently running 225/55/16 but the 8" will support up to 245, right?
Can a 4th gen tuck those all the way in?
225 and 245 aren't that much difference in price in the tires I want (< $110 ea), and I have plenty of choices, while 235 in 16" is rare (1 performane choice at tirerack) and expensive (~$200), which is why I'm looking at going 225->245

thanks
Phil

what ever u do dont go wider than 8, and u can go with 245 but 235 is better it wont throw the speedometer off that much.

I think that if you use 245s on 16s, you'll need 245/40/16 to keep the outside diameter close to stock.

Please go here-->

You can figure out what size you need. Just a hint, 245 is pretty wide but probably possible. You will need to pay more attention to the offsets to make sure it doesn't rub on the struts. 235 would be a good choice. Just play around w/ the aspect ratios to get the proper wheel dia. It will probably end up being 55 or 50

Darn. The AR would be either 45 or 50.
