Injen Hai

Injen Hai
Hey I know some-1 had to try this. I already have a injen hai and was thinking that I should run a man/switch to the second fan in front of the cone. This way I can turn it off at the track or on the street when I really want it get on the car without worrying if the fan is blowing hot air directly into the cone

That fan is best left on. You turn in off to run the car hard at the track or on the street, and your engine temps will start to rise as you contiue to get on it. So the engine will be kicking out much more heat and raising temps under the hood.
now you really would have a genuine HAI.
get a better intake, fabricate one that will sit the filter behind the battery, or as far away from any heat as possible.

Listen to MDeezy, he knows what he's talking about. The fans are there to cool everything down, if you start running track without them your car will get hotter and it wont make a difference to that intake. Change the intake. Just get some different connectors and use the injen to reshape the tubing to a different spot.

you could always try it and see

I was thinking about adding another elbow to the injen but figured I kick this idea round since a switch is alittle cheaper then a elbow. Anyway when you drag or street race it only last about 14sec then you turn the fan back on, remember I am only talking about turning the fan off by the cone not both. There is no way in the world a car will overheat in 14sec less you already have a problem with your car. Your fans are not always on anyway, they only turn on at a pre set temp then only 1 fan turns on then the 2nd fan at another pre set temp. If you do not believe me go outside start our car up and pop the hood
