Shimmy/ scraping when starting forward and reverse
Quick qestion..
I have a 95 5speed, and when I start in first or reverse, a loud shimmy/ scraping/ grinding sound comes out from I believe the bell housing(left front of car).. I installed a stage III clutch and it has worked marvelously, but I am wondering if maybe it has become glazed from the heat.. It might possibly be a lack of trans gear oil too.. I'm about to check it, but I was wondering if anyone ever experienced the same thing. It's only when pulling forward or reverse real slow.. when the clutch is engaged, nothing, even when shifting gears.. No loss of gripping power either.
I just replaced the left front bearing too, and could that possibly not be greased correctly? I didn't do that myself, and if that's the case, it just strengthens by disbelief in the creditability of shops..
Thanks
