What did I do wrong?

I bought and installed white face gauges on my max a couple days ago. I noticed that my speedometer is wayyyy off... I swear when i accelerate, it'll stay at "0" for a good 4 seconds.. Did i break something? I'm not tryin to be going 80mph when my speedometer reads 50mph...

did you pull the needles off when you installed them? I know some cars you can do that or somehow make it around them..lol

Maybe your sticking on something and when it gets enough streign itll just jump. or you put the needle on wrong? thats my guess...But I could be wrong, I've never done them in a maxima before...

I had an issue like that installing gauge overlays on my 240SX, I just ever so slightly nudged a couple of the needles further than I should have and now my fuel gauge is way off and my speedometer is a few MPH off. its not as bad as yours but I could see that happening. or pimpstarr could be right and its sticking on something and it won't move.

Had the same problem after installing EL Glow gauges. I believe it was the base that holds the needle rubbing against the gauge inserts.
Instead of it being the speedo, it was my tach. This bothered me to the point that I removed the glow gauges. I ended up going back to stock white face gauges and replaced the #7 mini bulbs w/ blue led's.

When you pull the needles off you usually will fck it all up. They need to be removed exactly and then put on exactly where they were before. If you messed that up you could be in trouble.
