I have no idea how this could've happened but my gas door jams shut and i have to essentially punch the side of the door to open it up. The latch no longer works from inside the car for some odd reason. Is there any alternative to fixing this aside from what i tried.....which clearly didnt work if i'm posting lol. Thanx

 

Mine did the same thing. When I looked at it closely, it looked out of place. It turns out that the idiot that pumped my gas at one of the few full serve gas stations in ny for some reason bent my gas door by forcing it open further than it's supposed to be. If your looking straight at the gas door, the left side looked like it was sticking out further than it should. So I was able to get it open and I bent it back and it worked fine after that.
