agreed, the polished lip adds a nice contrast from the spokes of the wheel to the tire.

yea, i agree. the polished lip is really played out. looks good on some applications, but where you can, go with the simple clean look.

a couple of questions...
1) what color is the car?
2) what trim? (ie chrome or body colored handles)
3) how dark is the bronze gonna be?
4)upgraded calipers have they been painted and what color?

if the car is a dark color and you have the chrome window trim/door handles definately do the polished lip.
just my opinion.

jsmax thats exactly what i was thinking too.. bc i got the damn trim around the windows in chrome and the handles as well...

repainted a dark metallic green (deeper than evergreen)
as for the bronze i was gonna dark but not too dark where its brown and not too light where its gold.... im lookin at a color chart tomm..
calipers are black

A flat bronze (more on the brown side) paired with a polished lip will look very nice.

polished lip all the way... sometimes it depends on the color of the car but if you're powdercoating them bronze I say keep the lip.. the polished lip is only played out on mesh rims but either way I say if it's clean it's clean

update...i wanted the polished lip but theres more to the story like.. id have to sand the lips on all of them b/c their machined, andthen hit them w the buffer b4 i powdercoat them so their mirror finished, then i needed a drill press to drill out the lug holes bc they arent big enough, bc the one rim is brand new.. so im gonna buy new rims at this point.. im gonan go w a bronze 7 spoke or 8 not sure yet.. kinda like the nismo rims.. i was checkin out the 5zigens but thier pricey.. idk whether to go 17 or 18 for all season...?? hmm rims have to be the hardest descision ever......

hahaha dude honestly... if you dont just pick one, and stop lookin for rims, youll never be able to decide

there are thousands of rims out there and there will always be one you think you might like better. Just stick with your original decision and youll be happy once you get them on your car. Personally I dont like bronze rims unless theyre on a Suby. But if youre gonna go with them, get the lip polished It'll bring the bronze out in the rim.

Are you a trendy guy or a classic guy? Polish lip is definitely a trend... Then again, the same can be said for anything beside plan jane silver...

Keep it solid and it will look better in the long run. Bronze does look good on certain colors.
