Hks Hi Power On Max?
My friend has a 300zx with the HKS HI Power dual can catback exhaust. I really like the sound and LOVE the look of the angled sit of the muffler. I really like the look of the angled muffler on the wrx and evo and such too! I have been thinking about getting it custom fit for that look. Only single exhaust, not dual tho. Any thoughts? I have read that the hks doesnt sound raspy, its deep and not as loud as N1. I have full custom exhaust now, 2.5 in wrpsd to greddy sp2 style muffler. I met a guy who has a 2jz powered lexus gs300 with an angled can style muffler that wasnt too loud at all(not sure what brand yet). I also have the 2 piece ionic rear and am really thinking/hoping it may look pretty good. Thoughts?

well I am just getting the muffler. so I guess it is somewhat like the design of the megan but quality is better, sound is better and looks are a little different. I have heard the megan on a max and didnt particularly like it because after lower mid range rpm the exhaust sound gets weak and you hear alot of motor. Not so with the hks. I am going to get the shop to do the welding of muffler and making of a custom axle back to get the look I want. SO I could use the megan to get pretty much the same look and acutally thought about it..but I want to go with quality and sound and what I really want. And I have to get the ionic kit painted anyway and I am doing the 97-99 conversion on the front so ill just get them to paint the rear bumper at the same time. and I can do the body work. So its just a thought for right now. But providing I can get the muffler for a decent price I will see how it turns out.
