Fail smog test due bad ECU help!
Here is the deal, Smog test fail because the computer ECU can't read or not receiving any data at all from any sensors, passed inspection & tailpipe was below guideline. Will getting an used ECU fix the problem? I am selling the car and can't pass the smog. Dealer wants to charge from $89 to $189 to just diagnostic the car, then plus repair. I sold the car for $2000.
No check engine light, has 225k miles, where do I start? Help!
Does anyone know If I need reset the ecu or get an used one.

if ur ECU was bad the car prolly wouldnt run very well at all.....if it ran....try resetting the ECU its in the stickies.....was a scanner hooked up to it or jsut no light...its possible ur light bulb is broken or not there from previous owner.....i would get it scanned at a parts store like AutoZone first

ECU not ready is a common occurance if your car has recently had problems or the ECU has been reset recently. It needs to go through several complete cycles, engine running correctly with no problems detected before it will go into a ready state. Take a few long cruises over the next few days and try to have it inspected again.
There is nothing wrong with your ECU.
