Free 100pt Inspection By Stealer
Free 100pt Inspection By Stealer
I heard it on Radio and took my car to stevens creek Nissan. They Indeed did 100 inspection for Free.
Before you jump into it. I am highly disappointed, They told me that my car need drive belts & I had those changed by a mechanic 500miles back.
They mentioned that Alignment is good and I know its very bad.
They mentioned I need OPS (oil pressure Switch) Hmm any one know what & where it is?
if you want to try your local stealership try the following link http://www.nissanusa.com/apps/servicecoupons

the point of that inspection is to drag you in tell you theres stuff wrong with your car making your worry and brining it back to them for repairs totaling over 400 from what you mentioned so far if not more.
I rarely go to dealers and purchased both my cars used from private parties. So I really doesn't know much about their honesty. But there is a reason they are called Stealer. They quoted me 170$ for Drive belts, 70$ for OPS.
Good thing they never pushed me to get the service.

I love taking my car to nissan! I have buddies up there, If I need it on the lift they put it up there and check something out. If im doing anything and need help, I can always call and/or drive up there to get something fixed or a question answered. NOW other nissans are TERRIBLE! One of the times I got my tranny fixed, I got it back and a week later went to put it in the car and it wouldnt **** when I got it in there. So I called my mechanic friend up there and told him, he said if I brought it back up there he would take care of it. So took it up there, he stopped what he was doing, broke open my tranny and fixed it! That kind of service makes me happy!
not the dealers by my house aka woodfield nissan and mcgrath nissan.. they suck... at mcgrath they didnt know how to press in a wheel bearing correctly i had to show the SHOP MANAGER how to do it.....
at woodfield nissan the morons cant get my alignment correct... they told me that they cant rotate my directional tires.. meaning that they cant move the passanger side rear tire to the passanger side front... what a bunch of morons..

what 96i30azn is reffering to is known as side-tracking, when the frame is bent in a collision and isn't fixed properly.
that rear beam can be bent as well. causing it to go sideways.
i work at a dealership and honesly if you car just comes in for one those 100 pt free inspections. pending on how slow business is, most likely it will be thrown to the newest guy, who doesn't know much but just a little bit and they basiclly look at your belts and fluid and air filter. i mean the obvious stuff that you can just look and see if they are bad and a quick run at the consult. rarely do you see those people actually give a crap.

I recently went to the stealership for this 100pt inspection, plus I needed a NYS inspection. Anyway, here's how the day went. 8 AM, went to my buudy who onws a tire shop and had the BF Goodrich tractio T/A's put on. 9 AM, left the tire shop cars rides nice and smooth straight as can be, no pulling left or right. 11:30 am had lunch. 1 PM get to stealership for my appointment. 1:20 PM Get called to the service counter for "the list" . Tranny sevice, which I know it needed, coolent flush, needed it as well, broken exhaust hanger, quoted me $173 to fix, WTF! declined. then they tell me my tires which I just had put on 50 miles earlier, are wearing on the inside edge and recommend and alignment. I had to laugh, the service writer is like whats wrong. I was about to tell them to get my car out of thier garage. If you do goto the stealership make sure you know your car and what it needs and what it doesn't need. Most of them will try to get you for whatever they can. USE CAUTION AT THE STEALERSHIP.
