Did KYB change their SB108 boots?
Have any of you guys noticed a change in KYBs SB108 dust boots? The one I just got from Tirerack are two-piece and not rubber. The bumpstops is white and the boot is a black pliable plastic material. The bumpstop and boot came in the box separate and had instructions to put them together. Anyone else experience this?

I got the same P.O.S. boots you got. They make a lot of noise because they can pop off the bump stop and can slide up and down on the shock body. I zip-tied the hell out of them and they still make noise. If you're sure they've changed the design, we should complain :attention . I've only seen the KYB picture which shows a 1-piece boot, but I've never seen one in person.

Ahhhh that sux! Do the bump stops even fit on the end of the piston shafts? The hole looks bigger in diameter than the original black rubber boot. I'm talking about the nub on the end of the shaft on the rear shocks. I'm hoping that the bump stops fit on there snug. I'm beginning to think that I should just order OEM boots, but I'm not sure if it will fit on my GR2s. If someone here can confirm that the OEM boots do not work with the GR2s, I will probably attempt to install the f'ed up KYB ones and play around with it to make em work. Does anyone know of another brand of boot that I can use instead? On the brightside, i think this newer boot material will last longer since it's not natural rubber (it just looks a little short).
Any input guys?

Both bump stops should fit (KYB or stock), but the stockers are a little taller than the KYBs so you might bottom out (on the stop) more with the stockers. I've heard of people cutting them down by half or something like that. You can always go to your local parts store and try to find stock replacement bump stop/boot kit for a 1995 Mustang (same bump stops as in the KYB kit). Yes, the parts guy will look at you funny at first. I couldn't find them anywhere local which is why I ended up with the KYBs (I should have ordered the 1995 Mustang units in hindsight).
