Coolant Leak

Yeah, I got a leak from the head gasket, near the UDP. What would be the best solution to this problem???

I replaced the thermostat last year with new gasket. The leak is down low by the oil pan. I can't replace the whole gasket cuz I don't have that kind of money right now. So what kind of sealers are out there for this?

The head gasket is nowhere near your UDP.
Thats not where the coolant is coming from.

if you have a blown head gasket, you would be smoking white, rite? check your oil to see if you got coolant in there.

I think this its around the gasket where i was leaking and it turned out to be a hole in the coolant line bracket (thats what guy called it) it ran me $320 since I went to pep boys but they did also order the part from nissan.

How much coolant are you losing? DO you have white smoke coming out of your tail pipe?
Anyway, has anyone used this so-called steel seal for blown head gasket?

If it seems that it's coming from around the timing chain cover area and running down to your oil pan it is probably your water pump. Mine did the same thing...

Mine does that...like right now.

Did you fix it yourself? How much did it run you$?

I was going to tackle it myself. I then began reading about it here, asking some questions, and thought it would be better to let a shop do it. I got several quotes ranging from $250 dollars all the way up to $700 dollars. One of the less expensive shops was almost arguing with me telling me that my car had a timing belt and not a chain..... skipped that one pretty quickly. I ended up going to the dealership and paying $550 dollars to get it done.

When mine was leaking coolant, I changed the Water Pump and seals, as well as the thermostat. The leak persisted and I realized it was coming from a warped metal gasket where the inlet/outlet pipes connect to the engine block. The pipes are tough to remove due to bolt position, but the leaky gasket was allowing a pinhole spray directly into my alternator. The leak also trickled down by the oil pan. At first, all indications pointed to water pump. I was wrong.

TO FIX:

Clean the entire area. Put car up on jacks (or a lift) then run your engine to operate temp and monitor where the leak is originating from.
