Trouble starting

I was trying to start my car the other night and it wouldnt start. It wouldnt even crank or anything. But then after 10 minutes of nothing it finally did! I got the battery and alternator tested and they came back fine so I got a new started put in. Then today I got in my car tried to start it and nothing! After about 10 minutes it starts perfect. But it doesnt do it a lot which is why im mad, because I took it to pep boys today to try and get it diagnosed and they couldnt figure out whats wrong with it because its not doing it for them. Also my cel light came on and I got a diagnostic done. The guy said that he found the maf sensor and the air temp sensors are bad. But there might be more wrong with it but thats as far as the machine would go. So could those sensors be messing up my car?? Please any help is greatly appreciated!

I dont tknow if them sensors would give you them symptoms though...but I would go ahead and check the starter. My car did same thinkg for a few weeks, sometimes it was fine other times it wouldnt crank and then after like 30 key turns it would start and was getting worse. I puled the starter and spun it freely and you could hear it was straining, like a whine. Replaced that for like 140 and it took like 20 minutes and also did the ignition switch sorta as preventive which cost like 40 bucks and also took about 20 minutes. Figured the car has over 100000 on it so why not spend the few bucks to change it too,,,since then the car starts like new everytime. You could probably shop around for cheaper prices but I was at work when I did them and the Autozone is right around the corner so i bought it there.

You should wiggle your key in the ignition switch next time it happens. When they get old the wieght of the keys loosens them up. next time wiggle it around while it is in the start position and see what happens. Also a MAF and IAT would not affect starting in the ways you describe. They would cause a running problem or a crank/no start problem. They won't affect engine cranking

Im not one to say for sure but it sounds logical. My starter was my problem and I had the same symptoms...I replaced the switch first and it still did it and then I tried the starter and it was good so if the order is reversed lol? I dont know but its like 40 bucks and really easy to do so maybe worth a shot.
