preventitive steps when going dino to syn ATF
the last thing I need is fluid leaking after dropping loot on a case of amsoil. I am planning on changing the axle seals while filling up with new synth. any other seals present that I should replace while I'm there?
in regards to the drain/fill, no matter how well it's done, won't there still be a mixture of a little dino and synth fluid? What would be the most optimal method for a 110K tranny? planning on dropping the pan, just don't see how one could get all the dino fluid out.

When i converted to mobil1 synth a few months ago, I did the self-flush, as outlined in the fluids and lubricants stickes: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=149056
I've had no leaks or ill effects. The transmission feels great. My car has 131k. I'd recommend that process as you get just about all of the old fluid out. If you do the simple drain and refill, you'll still have i think over 4 quarts of old fluid in the system

I would just put in clean dino ATF.
