8 tooth vs 10 tooth aftermarket starter.

I have been hearing a squeal at start up for about 2 years, so I know my starter is on it's way out. I believe the stock starter is a 8 tooth one. I heard before on the org that the 10 tooth is the better way to go when replacing. Also for anyone who has replaced their starter with an aftermarket one, what did ya'll go for? Any part #'s would also be helpful. Thanks

10 tooth is the later production starter for 96.

Get the 10 tooth and look for a Lifetime Warentee. Stay away from Autozone, or Carquest junk. Rebuilt are also hit or miss.
