ALPINEGT66:I put the tsx projectors in the r34 low beams.

RICEYASIAN86: I think the s2000 are a tiny bit smaller than the tsx projectors. If u want measure the projectors and give me the numbers and i'll measure the tsx and we can compare.

NISMOLOGY: Sorry i dont have any pics of the process i dont have a digital camera. But i'm going to borrow one to take a pic of my lights. Mine are pretty much done i just need to mount on the car and make sure the projectors are mounted right so the light output is good. And after that then glue back together. Process was easy basically all i did was bake the headlight. Took off clear part from the backing. Then started cutting until the projector fit good. Then i drilled holes for screws and thats what i've done so far. I'll show pics of what i got so far when i get a camera

yeah we figured that out, but from what i can tell, i doubt titanium is any different than chrome.

chrome is shiny and reflective. titanium finish is just shiny but not reflective. on appliances anyhow. I however prefer his explanation.

Ok, been following this thread after my son showed it to me. A couple of observations:

I love the look of these headlights!

The fit looks great....much better than the Cieferos.

I'm wondering why the low beams don't stay on when the high beams are on? I think this would be beneficial in lighting and also it would look better. Seems a bit strange to have the low's on and then go off when the highs are activated.

It seems that the low beams pattern doesn't seem up to snuff....... That makes me hesitate on buying a set. I'm still thinking bout em though. BTW, QuicksilverMusic....you have my Max....Sage Mist 97 SE. I was wondering what the black'd out lenses would look like. Hmmmm, I might go with the chrome. Get some H&Rs and some Illuminas soonest....you'll love em. Cheers

reason being is because the 9004 are design that way. low beam and high beam are in 1 bulb. the 9004 system is what the max is based on. we are just converting the bulbs into diffrent types but its still a 9004 system. Thats how its design. on 12volts goes to lows and when you turn on high beams the 12 volts goes from low to high. if you put a diode in the low beam and send it to the low beam then you have both. cause when u hit high beams it will send part of the 12v to the low like a branch.

The max is design only to light up one filament of the 9004 bulb simple as that.

Ok, I understand. Good explaination. Thanks. However, I believe I've seen other cars that have a two bulb system....Honda Accord 92 ish????, that the lows stay on with the highs. Cheers

you are correct. most cars with 2 bulb systems can have both lights on. 92-96 camrys have 2 bulb system. they use the same bulbs in the r34 style lights 9005 9006. i can have both bulbs light up. its just our maximas were 9004. newer cars running the 9007 bulbs act the same as the maxima. for instances a 03 lancer non/evo and a 06 cobalt.

So why didn't whoever made this new r34 type unit install the diode or do what was necessary to have low beams on when the high beams are on. Yeah, not your lane but they should have thought of this when they put this out. It would look so much cooler if both low beams and highs were on when highs were selected. IMHO.

they just simply didn't care..or think of it. you have to think these guys are out for pure profit. these are ebay people, not OEM designers and stuff. i agree it would be better to have both high and low on, but to the average joe that rearly use high beams it wouldn't matter. my parents who both drive camry's never use high beams. same with my gf who drives the lancer.

These are my thoughts on it. everyone has their own point of view on things.

I have some pictures of my headlights that ARE NOT FINISHED!!!!! Just want to state that b4 i start getting complaints and what not. I still have to go out and mount the lights on the car and check the beams. I still have to figure out what to use as a shroud. But i'm just posting pics to give an example of what i have done so far and what ur thoughts are. I might have trouble making these pics availible so if someone can help me out would be appreciated. Thanks

Nice shots...but after seeing those pics...if I decide to retro those and not the stock headlights...I am DEFINITELY going to put another projector in the other spot (fog) for the highbeam. No questions asked.

Thanks for the pictures and those look good thus far. Good job.

The adjustment screw is for up/down only, correct? Just seems too low to me and I'm curious if yours were adjusted correctly.

Ha that would be some nice extra cash .

:95 maxima se:
I think that customlightz.com would charge you around 300-350. They do great work i've seen them do plenty of retrofits over on a 8th gen civic si forum. But saving that cash and doing it yourself it alot better but takes more time.

It was posted on a public forum. What do you expect. Anyway, the dual projector setup looks awesome. The projectors you chose look perfect in size.

jitiola, i guess that's a statement for giving credit when credit is due..

Flava you are right!! I was keeping this install a secret until i was 100% done

then I decided to give some of my LOCAL NYC heads a teaser for New Years.

If I wanted Everyone to see them I'd post em here.

No more pictures until I'm ready with the release. Cheers + Happy New Years
