the beam pattern is still kind of sketchy.
I got mine last year and after some adjusting they turned out better than his first pics were, but it's still not as good as stock.

No it's not hard. Yes, it's been done a million times already. Search is your friend.

 

I had these put in and realized that the lights are to low to the ground..i have hids with them also and i wanted to know how to i re aim them....i seen on here some people talking about the gold screw or whatever, but still not sure.

 

There are long metal screws coming out of the back of the lights. They are the longest things coming out of the back of the lights and there are two on each light. Those are what you use to aim the lights. You use a philips screwdriver to aim them.

 

Or on the R34's use the single gold screw that's between the bulbs on the back.

 

Thanks for that because i just moved to georgia from baltimore and the roads are so damn dark down here.....dealership asked me for $400 and i jus did it in a matter of minutes.

When you hit the highs, the lows turn off. A simple diode can solve that though.

Definitely. Most of the retrofits that I've done are in R34's.

 

How would you do it though?

 

Bridge a diode over the high and low terminals on each original harness and you're done.

 

What size/amp diode would you need?

 

1N4007 diode (1 amp, 1000 volts). The side that has the silver stripe goes on the low beam terminal. The other side goes on the high beam terminal.

 

which brand of lights are these all of the ones that i found the separator in the middle does not come to the end. they will let the light pass from side to side.

 

Im about 99.99% positive they are all made by the same company.

Yeah I got like 40 for $3 lmao You're welcome.

Why would that happen? I've done tests and it's fine. It's not like I'm running around with my highs on. I'm using the diode so I can have my J30 halogen projector high beam along with my FX35 projector high beam and it works just fine.

I have none now but I'll take a vid and pics when I get around to finishing my retro.
