I think I'll pass.

Give me real H4's that fit right...I'd pay whatever was asked for that. Why replace garbage with more garbage?
Yeah, unless you're retrofitter extraordinaire, then stock is for you..

Totally understood. However the bolded text is more than enough to keep them off my car.

Yea, I would love to do the Cefiros because it's the only real H4 option but the gap would kill me. I'd end up getting body work to fix it. Already did the 9007 mod and added a better wiring harness which resulted in the most marginal of gains. The 4G headlights are bad enough stock and with 9007 bulbs...no need to replace them with parts which appear not to be that great right out of the box.

perhaps a stupid question but i'll ask anyhow. unlike ours that have the plastic backing that locks the bulb in place, the bulbs on these lock themselves in right?

Yes you are correct. 9005/9006 bulbs are twist lock type.

Been a while since ive been on here. I came on looking to replace a cracked 4th gen headlight and came across this. I definetly want to give it a try. Since im in NY its a rarity if your ever on a street thats way too dark.

My question is with the "HID" that someone took pics of against the garage door. Was that with a Kit or was it just "HID" bulbs? I want to get this with his setup so just want to make sure before i drop 200+ bucks.

If it was a kit and you have the link to purchase please post. thanks.

Installed my pair. Once i find a digi camera ill upload some pics. I happen to like the light output. Much better then before. I dont think mine fit all that great but ill go at it in alittle and try to get it to fit better. The hardest part is getting the corner part to line up right when im putting the light back on.

Did you install the bracket the right way? After you screw the headlight to the bracket, everything will sit flush.

Yea I'm pretty sure that's how I have it installed. I know when I forgot to install it they sat flush so would it be bad to have that part not there?

I just installed mine with 6000k hid's. I didn't have any problems with fitment. Everything fit perfect. But i'm not really sure I like the black on green yet. Maybe if I get some smoked bumper lights it would look better but it looks kinda dumb with clear bumper lights.

I don't have a digital camera but I can shoot a video of it. My camcorder is ghetto and only does videos. I'm shot right now so i'll do it tomorrow or this weekend.

Well I just got a chance to see them in the dark. The beam pattern really does suck. The hid's definately helped filling in the space in between the hot spots though. I also thought the glare would be pretty crappy and it's not bad at all. But if it had normal halogen bulbs in it, i'd rip them right off my car. Eventually when I get the cash i'll do a projector retro but for now the hid's will work.

Yes and no. They are obviously brighter than OEM with the HID's installed but i'm sure the HID's would be much better in stock housings than in these. The beam pattern compared to stock is horrible. The beam pattern with the HID's is the same as the pic ewuzh posted in page 1 only they are brighter and slightly more spread out. These headlights have good lighting straight in front of you but unfortunately it's not spread out like it should be. I didn't want to have to shell out the cash to do a retro but I may have to cause I just think the reflectors in the housing are really taking away the advantage of having the HID's. You could get away with using these headlights with HID's but I wouldn't even think about driving at night with these things using regular halogens. The beam pattern is just too crappy and I won't be able to get used to it. The only thing I like about them is there isn't a bad glare. So i'll either do a retro if I can scrub up the extra cash or just get new clear headlights and do away with these all together.

Yeah I'll probably just have a single projector retro done to my OEM's.

They look sick from the front but they look like crap on the road. The beam pattern is horrible. I just sent mine out to get projectors retrofitted into them.
