Don't flame me for asking this, to some of you it might seem like a ridiculous question but i've never dealt with cf in my life besides the dash bezel. I just bought a cf hood. Is it safe to leave it on during winter? Its gets pretty bad around cleveland area, but i do wash my car at least once a week. If it is safe what can i use to prevent damage to the clear coat from the salt. Also what should i use to drill the holes for the hood pins?

I had mine on all winter man, in West Virginia of all places lol... no problems, although rocks have hit it and left spider glass cracks on it. im glad you decided to get hood pins (cheap insurance). i used a drill on the hammer setting going slow with a regular bit.
