The bolt that holds the 1.5in plug in tranny

Does anyone know the bolt size or the part number for the bolt that goes into the 1.5in plug on the bottom of the tranny? I think it is called the gear selector sensor or something like that? All that is left of my clutch job is to put that back in and fill the tranny back up but somewhere along the line I lost just that bolt.

You may want to just use the drain bolt if it is cold. The plastic could break if it is very cold and brittle.

??? The tranny is already drained. In the process of doing my clutch I lost the bolt that holds that plastic plug in place and so I can't finish until I can get it replaced in order to put the oil back in the tranny.

1) That is not a plug. That is a sensor. They get very brittle and if you use it as a drain plug you need to be aware that it can and will break.

2) You need any common bolt with a 10mm head. The threads are like 12mm long. The threads themselves might be M4.

Should be M8x1.25 or 1.5 (M4 is tiny as hell), basically the standard 10mm head bolt found in about everything in your car. Hell, take out one of the 4 headunit bolts and use it, or from some other random place you can 'spare' one. Actually, a splash guard bolt should work just fine.

Skimmed over the first post too quickly, my apologies.
