Tire size (Dont Kill Me)

I know this has been asked before. So before anyone says it but.

Will 235's fit on the SE 5-spokes without rubbing excessivly. If they only rub at full lock on a revers J-turn then itll be ok. But if they rub in parking lot manuvers it will be a problem.
Thanks for the help,

Ricky

235s on a 6.5" rim? Even if it doesn't rub, it's not the right size

If you're autocrossing, it would be just about perfect. But pretty much anything else I wouldn't do it even if it didn't rub.

Another really easy check is to see if you have at least 1/2" all around the tire at full lock. Mine rubbed a little bit with 225s, so I'm guessing the answer is no.

235s? Super wide. I wouldn't go larger than 225 on the stock wheel.

Well even 235's are questionable on the 5th gen 17x7. Considerings we have 16x6.5 i wouldn't try it for street driving. I personally wouldn't go bigger then 225, if you need to go bigger get wider rims.

You shouldnt go larger than 215 on a 6.5" wheel. 225 is already pushing it.

too wide of a tire for such a small width rim. if u want the wide tires....buy some wide rims. if not....stick to 225

there are chats for various tires.

for example at toyo's web site for each of the tires and sizes they specify the minimum and maximum width the tire can fit on.

will 245's or 245/45/17 tire fit on a 17x 7.5 rim? or should i just stick with 235/45/17? since we are talking tire sizes, and i am about to order some!

I really like my Kumho Ecsta SPT's. Not too expensive and are quite sticky.
