02 Sensor goes bad after Fuel injector install?
02 Sensor goes bad after Fuel injector install?
My car wouldn't start recently and the dealer said I needed 2 new fuel injectors. Got those, and had the rest cleaned. Also had a new fuel filter installed. The same night I picked it up from the dealer, the SES light came on. Took it BACK to the dealer and he said it was showing an 02 sensor problem, but he turned off the light and said let him know if it comes back on. Well, it did and I'm pissed.
I had the o2 sensor problem 2 years ago, but it turned out to be just s fuse.
Two questions. IS my dealer responsible for this new problem, and what fuses control the o2 sensors?

Make sure you keep all your paper work and other documentation. I think they are responsible because you're a customer and your not satisfied because the problem persists even though they said they fixed it. Take it back talk to a supervisor and let know you want it fixed and fixed right. At this point they shouldn't charge you if they try to say maybe the Better Business Beaurea would like to hear about this.
a fuel injector and an o2 really have not too much in common as failures. Keep your paperwork talk to the someone bigger then just an advisor and possibly pending on them you can just only pay for the part and get it installed for free since its pretty simple to get to anyways. They might look at it that way. But honestly I think it just failed.
Honestly no they are not responcable because you took the car in for a no start. That means it can be anything. Bad fuel injectors could of flooded the o2's for all we know. A repair on injectors are on top of the engine and o2 wiring and everything for that is at the y-pipe. NO reason for them to go under there at all. Maybe when they checked for faults they saw 2 injectors and 1 o2 fault, think the o2 fault was dude to the intjectors failing. and thought get the injectors done first since it directly effects the car not starting and if the fault is there for the o2 the fault is there. You might just need to spend another 200$ to get it done. 100 for the sensor and 100 for r/i a o2. maybe if you talk to the manager you can save money off the r/i by saying junk like. i paid xxx.xx to get my injectors/ fuel filter fix expecting to get my car back in 100% working form with no lights and nothing else failing, if you would of told me my o2 was going to bad prior then i would of done it but now i feel your trying to scam me. something in that lines. i know how that goes, customers have done that to me. so yea. say something about it maybe save 100$ reguardless your going to have to pay for an o2 just who will pay for the install...
