How to put filter on CAI?

How do you get the filter on for a CAI? Do you have to come from under the car since the 3" hole will not fit the filter? Are there any tricks to get more room for your hands when installing the filter?

You would probably have to jack the car up and remove the driver's side wheel.

You do not have to remove the wheel. If you are skinny, unlike me, you can slide under the car just in front of the tire. If not, jack the car up and remove a few of the screws holding the black plastic splash guard that is directly under where the filter is. Remove enough of the screws to gain access to change the filter. I have a Place Racing CAI and I remove just a few screws and fold the plastic splash guard out of the way and then there is a clamp that I have to loosen to slide the huge cone filter off of the CAI pipe.
