Motor mounts from ebay???

Mine are in bad shape. My rear mount is totally torn loose. They have individual mounts on there for as low as $40. Anyone know the quality of buying mounts off ebay? are they all the same?

What kind of mounts are highly recomended for the 4rth gen?
On all my S Chassis I used Nismos but not really sure. I think I might need some new ones but whatever. Gotta make sure to keep the daily driver nice and in shape.

I am going to save you the headache and financial burden with a piece of advice... don't get polyurethane motor mounts if you're installing them on your modified daily driver. The reason for this is quite simple if you think about it. Along with engine positioning, motor mounts perform the important function of dampening engine vibration, which a stiff mount will not accomplish. I hear people talk about polyurethane like its their only reasonable option for mounting, but thats usually the case for transmissions. The fact is a stiffer polyurethane mount just transfers more vibrations to the body than a rubber one. If isolating and nullifying annoying vibrations in your cabin and elsewhere doesnt bother you, or you just run your car on a track, go for polyurethane! But for that comfortable performance that a daily driver application calls for, shell out the dough for the OEM DE-K ones, I hear they perform extremely well. I haven't changed my mounts yet, but when I do, thats the route I'm taking. Good luck!

motor mounts on ebay are just used ones probably from wrecked maximas...they are not new or specially made ones.

just buy the cheapest ones you can find and fill them with some poly...vibration is really not that much more. i did them to mine and dont notice any difference.

Not sure if the deal is still on but Cattman has a sale on ES bushings. The MM were $79.

I filled my front and rear mounts and I regret the hell out of it. The car is more jerky now than ever. I have to make an absolutely perfect move with the clutch otherwise the car jerks like I don't know how to shift. I want my old mounts back.

Then I have def and will def spend a lot less on parts than you. I have bought warpspeed, sprint, and apexi on ebay(just to name a few) and will continue to buy stuff at great prices. If you feel the need to pay full price or even the "sale" price on whatever you buy where ever you buy it that is on you but I have probably spent almost half the price on mods that you have and mine work perfectly fine.

as long as your buying quality parts then ebay is a good place to shop.

the things to look out for in ebay are those cheap imitations...and even some of those are fine.

plus in the motor mounts department...i have not seen any cheap imitations...the mounts ive seen being sold are geniune oem. they are not new most of the time but no such thing as "fake" maxima motor mounts on ebay.

^^ I think what cloud is saying is that no name parts off ebay are a joke. I would never get something off ebay without knowing the brand. I hate ebay lately since there are thousands of sellers working out of their basement. Seems like is becoming worse and worse every day. Actually you have to becarefull now from all the counter fit and/or the word "type" or "style" in the ad. A Greddy "style" bov is not a real Greddy, and mostlikely will be a waste of money.

this has been covered already...refer to my post on post #8

dont try and criticize saying others dont have some IQ when you yourself failed to read each post. you even failed to realize that there is no such thing as ebay or generic motor mounts which was the initial point of this thread.

Alright 1st off, i never said Ebay makes Motor mounts or that there are Generic brands for motor mounts, obvious someone here has a reading disability, i stated

"i def. wouldnt go eBay for motor mounts/suspenion/wheels/ well practically anything..... quality should always come before price"

meaning i would not go to eBay to buy parts that can have Generic Brands,
ie. suspenion parts (coilovers, shocks, springs, bushings, etc.) 18" G35 style rims, fake apexi safc, etc...

i never stated I would never shop on eBay!
