dying in the cold?

Alright, after school yesterday i got in my car to start it. it was about 35 degrees out and this was the first real cold day. i turned the key and the car started for about 2 seconds, the rpm's on the tach jumped up to normal starting rpm's, then slowly dropped down past normal idle as the car sounded like it was being choked and the car died. I waited a few seconds and retried, again having the same outcome. Then i started it, and as it was about to die again, i stepped on the gas a little and kept my foot on the gas for a good 5 seconds, after letting up, the car idled fine.

the next morning before school it did the same thing, but on the second try, i didn't need to gas it, it was about to die and then barely went back up to rpms...

lastly, today after school i started the car perfectly fine...could my problem be as simple as the battery? i garage it at night so it isn't AS cold as being outside..

any help would be appreciated
Bobby

first thing i would do is try cleaning your TB.. when it gets cold the gunk around the butterfly is hard and needs coaxing to get free to let in air... that is what happend to me on my first max.. after i cleaned it..i never had an issue with it..

Just my opinion

i read that after cleaning the tb, you most likely get high idles and engine codes left and right...is this true?
