RPMs drop then shoot up to normal 1-2

RPMs drop then shoot up to normal 1-2
So anyone have any idea why when shifting 1-2 (normal driving no wot) my rpms will go down to about 1000 then bounce up (quickly) and move steady from there just like normal? I'm an auto with 89k. Also I am not shifting it manually, I have only done that once in the two years of owning her.
