I find it ironic that you are placing much of the weight in decision making on pad life yet you wish to run slotted and cross-drilled rotors. Cross-drilled rotors are not typically resurfaceable and are usually replaced when warpage or cracks appear. Also cross-drilled rotors tend to crack at the holes, BUT brake systems that were designed to incorporate cross-drilled rotors are usually increased in rotor thickness to compensate. I'm quite sure that your setup was not developed with cross-drilled rotors in mind and hence the greatly increased risk of your rotors cracking. Also some other factors when considering brake pads, such as pad friction coefficient (stopping power), pad dust, pad noise, pad fade, price, etc...
To answer your question, OE pads have excellent life.
FYI, you should know how a cheese grater works, now imagine you have cheese graters at all 4 wheels and that you are deciding what kind of cheese that you should buy for increased durability.

Ive had my cross drilled rotors on for about 2 years, no signs of cracking, i check them regularly because of the fact that there prone to cracking. I highly reccomend the hawk hps pad. The only downside is the price and they dust a lot
