This is a strange one Some times when I move the Shift leaver of auto tranny from Drive to Park the engine Surge from 700 to 1500 rpm, holds for a while at 1200 rpm and comes back to 700 rpm.

Car's transmission slips occationally, strange thing is that this engine surge happens Only after car experience a gear Slip.

Does any one have any idea what could be the reason?

 

Torque converter?

I have noticed some type of surge with any auto I have driven.

 

Perhaps you have already answered your question. Checked yoru fluid for filings?

 

Thanks is there any possibility that this could be an electrical issue. Does our car's have TCC Solenoid or some similar valve? whose malfunction can cause this
