Placebo? or is there something weird?

So i've been in the process of finding myself a new apartment, and didn't want to spent a sh!tload of money on storage so i just stored some stuff in my trunk.

I think everything i put into my trunk came to somewhere around 400-500 pounds, yes that much! It looked like i dropped the rear of my car...

So yesterday i finally took all the crap out and brought it into my new apartment, thinking nothing of the fact that my car is a 4x4 again. I've done alot to this car maintenace wise since i got it. I've changed alot of parts and everything is OEM, and i've never really had the car empty because i put all that crap into it when i bought the car so i've never really experiance how really fast this car is without 500 pounds in the trunk. I mean it was more then fast even with everything.

So here's the deal, after cleaning the trunk...i no longer have clutch chatter, my y-pipe stopped rattling, car feels stupid fast, and i can chirp 3rd gear all of a sudden. How can this possibly solve all those problems and make my car so fast lol...am i going or what?

I'm at work and have nothing to do beside type this really long post and ask such a silly question.

I would say it probably has something to with the fact that you removed 500 pounds of weight from your car. :P

But chirping 3rd gear? That's pretty amazing for a max with the mods you listed.

Yeah i'm pretty surprised about the 3rd gear chirp...i thought i was hearing things so i kept trying to see if i can do it again and i can. I don't do anything different then i've done before. Redline 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

Maybe the fact that my amb temp showed up 15 degrees is why i can chirp 3rd..idk i'm confused, but loving it.

I was actually arguing with my friend yesterday trying to prove that my car does 0-60 in 6.9 seconds so he went onto Edmonds from his Nextel and it showed that it does it in 6.6...WOW!

1st gear is useless @ WOT for me and second is nothing but wheel-hop city, it's the weather. Your car may be running a LITTLE better due to the freezing air and the surface has less traction than it usually would.

I have pretty good tires in front i'd have to say there's about 75% thread left on them, and if i remember correctly they are P-zero or something or that sort.

But Freeway is probably right, the cold air plus the fact i removed 500+ pounds from my trunk is what's causing the "placebo". I wanna go to the track now because i feel like i'll break high 13's lol. (YEAH RIGHT!!!)
