Thoughts on Dynamat Under Hood Liner ??

Got my CF hood and there is nothing underneath the hood any more...

I was thinking of getting the Dynamat Under Hoot Liner. Its a stick on mat and custom fit that you cut to fit the hood.

Let me know some thoughts on it

$74.95

AFAIK, the stock underhood liners that are OEM are just fire suppression devices. I've never heard of this being used, but Dynomat is generally a pretty good brand, if you're looking to protect that CF hood I'd say it's worth it...

id say go for it. that price is pretty good for dynamat, its usually more expensive than that.

For $75 forget that. Either reuse the stock one, make your own, or wrap the headers.

i dont think that dynamat would stay under the hood, its sounds like a good idea but the adhesive doesnt seem like the right consistency to stick under the heat of engine and exhaust.

It has to stick. They probably have that down by now

Its not there regular dynomat, it designed specificly to go under the hood and be exposed to the heat.

matty,
I say go for it. I have been debating on doing it as well. I do know that my last hood began to have its clear coat fade in spots. I was told it was from the heat underneath.
