Car Shaking

I noticed a new problem tonight. While completely stopped at a light or stop sign my car starts to shake. Anything under 5mph it feels like a go-cart stuttering. When I put it in park or neutral the shaking stops.

Has this problem ever happen to anybody else here? Looking to get some answers to fix this problem.

My idle seems to around 600rpm when stopped, So I don't believe that's the problem.

Thanks.

I had a CEL for P0400 -0302. As I understand this is for EGR related problems. It does feel like it's puttering when I accelerate also.

I can clean the EGR pipe for you. Your problem however is somethin different as a clogged EGR pipe will not cause shaking. It sounds more like a plug, coilpack problem. If it is the EGR causing it, then perhaps you have a failed EGR Valve locked in the open or closed position (i forget which one). PM me a number and you can come by. We'll figure it out.

As far as I know there are lots of cars on this board that have the same problem (I have it too). There was a really long thread on here somewhere about this - a lot of people took their cars to their mechanics' and not one managed to cure the problem.

Sounds like a serious problem if there was a long thread about it. Anybody know the guy that finally fixed it?
