Need serious help!!

I have a 96 that is leaking vapors from the filler neck, in searching I purchased one from here at the .org, but it turned out to be wrong, because it seems I have the Cali spec which I cant find anywhere accept the stealership who wants $400. My question is can I convert the neck to the one I have by getting the canister for the general spec model for the maxima, I would appreciate any response, thanks.

Best bet is junkyard or on here. Not sure what you'll find but I dont know about converting it. Do you know what the differences are between the cali and fed spec for the filler? I didn't know there would be differences.

It doesnt look like the top hose is just a hose. Has that shut off thing. I would say you're going to need to find the correct filler.

Thats the killer, looking at the pic more closely, one hose goes into the canister, and the other hose goes to the fuel tank, so If I do consider this option its not looking good for me.

I have a 96 gxe and my filler pipe is gone.has a whole in it.and im gettin evap monitioring on my cel. Also another way to go is go to a tank shop and have them rebuild your filler pipe for whatever price.its cheaper then getting rapped at the dealership for all your money,im going to get mine done this week. Its going to cost me 180 i think.
