We Are Apparently Driving a Maserati

This is very odd to me, but I have had two different neighbors tell me that they thought I was driving a Maserati when they first saw the Maxima.

I'm not really seeing it.

Has anyone else had someone tell them anything like this?...or that it looks like some other vehicle? I'm just curious.

Seriously?

I can see it, but I am female. Take it as a compliment, they could've compared it to a Mazda.

Run with it, man! Better than being mistaken for an Altima for the past decade.

About a week before I bought mine, I pulled up next to one at the Starbucks, I had to do a double take. it does look exotic...... "LIKE" a Maserati.

At the time I didn't know there was a new body style for it, I was leaning towards the TLX

It's actually not so far-fetched a comparison at all from a design standpoint. Look at the bulge in the hood before it sharply slopes down to the headlights, and the fastback design of the rear.

And yeah, what I find amusing from my experience is that most of the onlookers who are interested in the car tend to be drivers of BMWs, Audis and Benzes. Other Nissan drivers just go past as if they didn't even notice it, lol.

I'm hearing statements such as "Holy S**T!" or "WOW!!" when they see the front of the car. However, I heared two people mistaken my SR for an Altima from the back. ='(
