no.....

and why you ask?

because I got some, looked oem at first real good quality! I got them this past summer. Both of them are allready cracked! And I dont even use my fogs a lot. I am thinking its because I got Piaa crystal ion bulbs in there. maybe, but still 6 months.

Ebay

I won two used OEM foglights for 97-99 model on Ebay, total cost of $68 plus shipping. In perfect condition. Like the OP, both of my fogs currently on my Max are cracked, will install the new ones in the spring along with my Stillen bodykit.

Well if you go from ebay try to get some 3m protectant stuff. Basically a film that goes over the light to protect from rocks and such. That's probably cause of cracking not the light output.

I have the same problem, both of my stock foglights w/ stock bulbs are cracked...and i do not plan on replacing them now b/c it sounds like they will crack regardless of age.

Zach, I wanted the amber ones from ebay but I was afraid of the quality. How long have you had them and what bulbs are you running?

i bought fog lights off ebay--not oem, but they were really nice. I have had them over a year and they seem fine so far. Have you tried junk yards? That might be your best bet if you dont trust ebay sellers. At least you could look at them before buying...

Mustangs

If you notice a lot of the late 80's early 90's mustangs have broken foglights as well. It's because they are low and rock and retreads wreak havoc on them. Maybe a good quality lense will prevent it but it's personal preference if you want to continue to replace them.

Sorry for a late answer I never remember when I post. I have had them for a while but only running them for about two months with the bulbs they came with. I think they look good and I will post up some pics maybe tomorrow with them on and off so you can get a good look at them.

Did you change the bulbs? I have had no problems with mine for 2 and a half months or so but I have been running the bulbs they came with.

i did not switch the bulbs but im actually sure that it was with in the next 2 days that one crack and about a week later the other cracked as well...it was actually pretty cold that night, so maybe the glass got too hot...

I don't know about the cold, maybe. It has been pretty cold here the last couple nights and Thursday and Friday should be very cold so we will see how they hold up.

I am also a victim of the cracked ebay replacement (clear/OEM style). Worse yet, I wanted amber ones and they were released right after I purchased mine.

To rub salt in my wound, The price I paid for the ONE that I bought, that is now broken, is the price for a PAIR of the amber ones! Ironically, the passenger side one, that is still stock, is not broken and it has 150,000 minles of Ohio road/winter abuse on it. Does every other state with snow use a strategic mix of giant rock salt and giant rocks for the roads?

I am still going to buy the amber ones, just afraid now that they may crack. I will be running Silverstars in them, since that is what is currently installed in mine. Curious if the Silverstars will change the light color/output or not.

you guys should just put protective film over the fogs and run the bulbs the company gives you. That's what will keep them from cracking.

Well i'm guessing you had nothing on the fogs. They're mass produced, not going to be strong. You need something to protect them. Simple rock would crack them since they arnt very strong.

I wish I would have thought about the 3m before I put in the ebay replicas I bought. Within a month they were both cracked and the bulbs that came with them were burnt.

The EBAY ones that look the same as OEM are JUNK!!! Mine both cracked in under 2 weeks, and now the one has a HUGE hole in it.

If you cant afford Nissan parts, why would you get a Nissan car???
