Windshield Wiper Housing...

The 99 SE that I just bought has the paint peeling off the windshield wiper housings. I was planning on removing them and painting them flat black. However, i cannot figure out how to get them removed from the area below the windshield. I need to remove every part of the wiper, even the part holding it to the car. Any help would be appreciated.

Mask everything off and cover the hood with a drop clotch and tape it down.. Spray them while on the car.

Yeah just tape with newspaper or anything to cover surroundings and go at it.

to take off the arms.
1) pop off the covers at the base of the arm.
2) take off the retaining nut (14mm i think)
3) open up the hood and rock the arm while pulling upwards.

Wanna help me out a little bit? I am hoping to do mine this weekend, but i still dont know how to get the housing off. How did you get yours off? And also, i plan on painting them a flat black. Is any can of spray paint good for this application or do i need some special kind. Thanks.
